From the Beginning to Today
Our Chidambaram Manavalakalai Yoga center was founded in 1978 by Professor R. S. Nagarajan. Our Guru, Vethathiri Maharishi, visited Chidambaram four times and delivered lectures here, and also conducted Kayakalpa training sessions. During one such visit, his lecture on the "Philosophy of Cosmic Integration" at the Sastri Bhavan auditorium of Annamalai University left university professors full of admiration and praise.
In 2009, land was acquired in Sivasakthi Nagar and the 'Arivuthirukoyil' (Temple of Knowledge) was built to conduct yoga classes. It was formally opened on 27.05.2010 by Padma Shri S. K. M. Mayilanandam Aiyah, President of the World Community Service Association.
Service Continuing Across 9 Centers
This was the first Arivuthirukoyil in the entire Villupuram zone. Today, including the Arivuthirukoyil in Chidambaram, 9 meditation centers have been opened and yoga classes are being conducted successfully at each.
